Nepali Congress (NC) won the majority of the local levels in Dolakha district in the May 13’s local election.
According to the results of two municipalities, seven rural municipalities and 74 wards in the district, NC stands atop winning three mayor/chairpersons, three deputy mayors postvice-chairpersons and 25 ward chairpersons.
Similarly, CPN (UML) has secured the second position by winning mayoral posts in two municipalities, five deputy mayoral posts and 23 ward chairpersons.
Likewise, CPN (Maoist Centre) has stood third in the district by winning three mayoral posts, one deputy mayoral post and 21 ward chairperson posts.
CPN (Unified Socialist) won one rural municipality chairperson and two ward chairpersons.
Two independent candidates have registered their victory as chairpersons of two wards.
